Global Citizenship is the rights, responsibilities and duties that come from a global entity as a citizen of particular place and nation. As a citizenship, we try to find the problematic situation that are happening in the world or in our nation. We also need to help other people from that issues. The purpose of the global citizenship project is to build awareness to others by its own topic. My personal topic is about Tuberculosis, this topic is the biggest issues in the world including Indonesia, Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs, but they can also damage other parts of the body. The purpose of this project is to build awareness on people for tuberculosis, because this issues most problematic in the world. It killed thousands of people, that could lead to death. Sometimes the one who gets TB also has HIV, all death people who had TB and HIV are considered died because of HIV. According to WHO or World Health Organization, In Indonesia, the population is 261,000,00. The total amount tuberculosis of the incidence is 1,020,000.

Tuberculosis is a very hard topic to solve, it is much more challenging. Because none of most people do talk about Tuberculosis, it’s much more about a heart disease. Writer has chosen this topic because to build awareness on others, and help people making awareness of tuberculosis. In order to build awareness tuberculosis, I would like to make a short video of tuberculosis awareness. I also would like to interview some stranger about tuberculosis, like what they know about my topic that I discuss in this report.

• The World Health Organization estimates that 9 million people a year get sick with TB, with 3 millions of these "missed" by health systems

• TB is among the top 3 causes of death for women aged 15 to 44

• TB symptoms (cough, fever, night sweats, weight loss, etc.) may be mild for many months, and people ill with TB can infect up to 10-15 other people through close contact over the course of a year

• TB is an airborne pathogen, meaning that the bacteria that cause TB can spread through the air from person to person

Before we make this report, we need to do some research based on data in the internet. We choose our topic and research any information we got, then make this report. After that we present it.

Research Method

            In this chosen topic for this project, I choose Tuberculosis situation in Indonesia. We need to find the information why Indonesia is the part of the highest tuberculosis, according to WHO, also how to build the awareness of care to tuberculosis people as Indonesian citizenship.  The resources that I used is researching with reliable like unblogspot website, Wikipedia, etc. By not using unreliable sources, we could get the wrong information and it will affect your report for the wrong information.

            To make a more supportive information. Petition is one of the best resource to support my topics and ideas. By using petition, people will agree to your topic and automatically it will give the awareness of the society.

The data are collected by doing research, most of the research and data of the death rate/how many people has tuberculosis. WHO website is the good website to know the data and range of the diseases topic, such in tuberculosis. According to WHO, “Tuberculosis mostly affects adults in their most productive years. However, all age groups are at risk. Over 95% of cases and deaths are in developing countries.”

The product of this report is making a website for petition, I use weebly.com to make the website. So, people could see my products through my personal portofolio blog.

            Conclusion

The final product Global Citizenship is to make a report and website based on the topic we pick since first term. After finishing the product, it will be check and judge by the supervisor/principal. In order of that, I’m going to master my topics for the presentation. I also need to make the video for the building tuberculosis awareness, so to make society knows about this issue.

Also, after the research. I can tell that the issue is unstoppable problem, but as a citizenship we could help and support people who has tuberculosis by making campaign, awareness advertisement, etc.
